
Chris Tucker Haggerty has exhibited her work both domestically and abroad. Along with work inspired by international travel, family culture and the American Southwest, she has created commissioned pieces for organizations, dignitaries and friends. She has had solo exhibitions at Covington and Burling LLP, D.C., Marymount University, the Charles Beatley Library, the Lee Center, City Hall of Alexandria VA and the Leslie M. Schweitzer residence. as well as numerous two-person and/or group shows. As one of two hundred artists nationwide, she participated in “Faces of the Fallen,” portraits of soldiers lost to war in Iraq and Afghanistan exhibited at the National Museum of Women in the Military. Her mixed media work was featured at “Artist’s Talk on Art” in Soho NYC. She is a member of the Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C. and was previously associated with Viridian Artists Gallery in NYC.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs NY, an M.F.A. From the George Washington University, D.C. and did additional study at St.Martin College of Art and Design, London UK. Her master’s thesis, “Feminine Foothold,” exhibited at the Dimock Gallery, Washington, D.C. was comprised of symbolic portraits of women. She holds the title of “Professor Emerita” from Marymount University.
